Ukrainian dance is different.
Just like the unwavering spirit of the Ukrainian people, it is something to be marveled at.
Windsor Barvinok Ukrainian Dance Ensemble aims to share Ukrainian culture in Canada and internationally by creating and performing dances from multiple regions of Ukraine. These dances are performed in region-accurate wardrobe hand-crafted in Lviv, Ukraine.
Registration
Interested in joining our group? Come by and sign up for our 2024-2025 season! All are welcome, no experience required!
Dancers can start as early as 4 years of age.
Juniors (age 4-7) practice from 4:00pm to 5:00pm
Intermediates (age 8-10) practice from 5:15pm to 6:15pm
Seniors (age 11-13) practice from 5:15pm to 6:15pm
Ensemble (age 14+) practice from 6:30pm to 8:30pm
Registration Cost
$250 + $50 Refundable Costume Deposit + $50 Refundable Bingo Deposit
The costume deposit will be returned once the dancer(s) has returned all of the costume(s) provided by the dance group. For returning dancers, the costume deposit can be rolled over to the next year.
The bingo deposit will be returned after successful completion of 2 bingo shifts either by a parent or dancer over the age of 18.
Creating a community.
Windsor Barvinok has been around for decades, but now our role is somewhat different. With the war in Ukraine and so many Ukrainians finding sanctuary in Canada, we feel we hold some responsibility to create a safe and welcoming community. Something that can make our visitors and/or new Canadians feel some semblance of home.
